We are repairing overheating issues known as the "RROD" (red rings of death) on the XBOX 360 pro, arcade, and elite models. In addition, we also repair the overheating issue on the PS3 20GB, 40GB, 60GB, and 80GB models suffering the "YLOD" (yellow light of death).
At first I thought this was a car repair shop, but this would be a welcome addition to people that are a fan of video games!
I myself do play games so I know for sure where to go when I have issues.
I think a majority of Asian kids, not that I am being stereotypical but purely opinion, that they do play games. I hope your shop is competitive compare to others. Maybe a benefit to your customers would be a trial of games that they can test out for being your customers, which I believe would add customer value to the services that you provide.
Thank you Joshua for your consideration. I believe not only does the Asian community engage in gaming activities but also variety of ethnicity are attracted to game consoles such as XBOX 360 and Playstation 3. Personally, I have repaired over hundreds of game consoles that were distributed to different kinds of people. Moreover, to stay competitive, we offer same day repair and mobile service for customer's convenient. We do offer game demos for customers to test out to ensure that their system is working properly after our repairs.
I know first hand how helpful that type of service is. You should also consider working on the Wii. My husband has worked on plenty of equipment from Ipods/Iphones, laptops/computers, and indeed both PS3 and Wii(several different units). In fact our PS3 had been thrown in the trash but, he took it in and fixed it. That is something that might be possible for your service; picking broken units and reselling them. Possible revenue generation?
I think this is a really great idea! I have actually been experiencing problems with the Xbox red ring of death, and I have found out the processes to fix it --it's quite complicated! However, I think some customers would be indecisive of whether to buy a new/used console as opposed to getting it fixed; a warranty/guarantee that the console would definitely ease consumers' worries.
It's a good business to make money. In this time, children like to play video games or game consoles at home rather than play outside. So, when they meet problems with their "toys", they will find a department to fix them. Especially, those toys are pretty expensive. you guys have a good plan, it's a good business too.
I find this business very profitable! From children to adults, people in general likes to play games therefore, I am sure they will run into problems with their toys.
This sounds like it will be worth it! I have probably played video games a total of ten times in my life. I was never into them as much and preferred to be outside and active, however I have had a lot of friends play and deal with all the technical issues. I am not too techno-savvy but if I was to have a product to be repaired I would want it to be with some one that has experience and knows what they are doing. I think that if an individual may have a broken console and no longer wants it, they could take it to your shop and have a cash exchange in return. Just an idea!!
Looking forward to hearing more about the services you will be providing!
It is a good business plan to go for. Electronic devices are very troublesome when they got problems or defective. After warranty period, the cost for fixing from manufacturer might be very high. So looking for a repair shop is an alternative way to go instead of overpaying for manufacturer's fixing. Keep up on your jobs.
I like your idea and business plan since so many people play video games. If your team builds up a positive credibility with your customers with an affordable price range for the repairs, then your business could be very profitable!
This is a great idea. I have seen what the YLOD can do to a PS3, and it basically makes the console obsolete. The PS3 belonged to my friend, and no one was able to fix it. Sony does not offer to fix it; I believe they only offer to sell you a refurbished machine for a cheap price. We also tried people on craigslist who claimed that they can fix it... with no luck. It would be great to bring your console in to a company who knows what they are doing and who you can trust.
Great idea! This is a great business idea. This would help a lot of people save money repairing it rather than buying a new console. Although my PS3 has not suffered the "YLOD" before, I have heard stories from my friends and most of them spent their money buying a new one.
is this going to be on campus? this service is going to work and will bring profit to the company because the majority of the household play videos games. Therefore, they do have problem with it in the long run, and they would like to look for a repair shop because is cheaper than going to the manufacturer company
Maybe consider doing gaming repairs or installations on other platforms as well, pc, phones maybe? or nintendo ds or sony psp. Target market could be electronic gaming or non gaming devices repair. Overall I like the idea and hope to see some great updates
This is an awesome idea! Gamers can spend hours and hours playing, and overheating is such an inconvenience. Maybe once you get a grasp on the overheating of the specific games you listed, you could branch into other sectors to increase your market base.
Seems like a great service to offer to the public. Your service could save customers from forking over hundreds of dollars on purchasing a new console.
I prefer to play on my Nintendo systems and was wondering if you have plans to expand into other systems or are you just purely marketing for the XBOX players?
Keep it up! Electronic products such as PCs,game consoles are vulnerable to get problems and troublesome as they age. Repair services with reasonable prices and warm customer service, I believe your store will be successful in just a short period of time.
This sounds interesting. Game consoles are always breaking down and most people just freak out when that happens. I was wondering are you guys only fixing game consoles or other electronics?
That's a great idea! A lot of people play games. For minor issues like overheating, they can't just buy new consoles. There's a big demand for such kind of service.
This is a great idea for gamers. I’m not a person that plays games, so I don’t really have a clue to the issues that happen. But I am sure there is a market for this. Especially, when consoles are pretty expensive and many people would probably prefer finding a repair shop instead of tossing the console for a fixable problem. Many people automatically go to the internet to troubleshoot; maybe your company could create an on demand help for people with small problems. If you gain a customer’s trust they are more likely to return to you when bigger issues arise.
This sounds really interesting and it sounds like you guys really thought of a great issue that a lot of people who own Xbox's and PS3's have to do deal with. I have a PS3 and I am very aware of how the system can overheat so I look forward to seeing what you guys post next.
this is defiantly a different idea but seems to be interesting. Will you also be providing services for all model of gaming systems? Who will be your targeted market? How will you market to them?
I think its a good idea there is a market for these repairs. Many game users run into issues that need repairs. The name of your company made me think of computer repairs. How do you plan on marketing your companies skills to the public?
Peoplw definately need to start actually doing this because there are no small local businesses in the market that can get the job done. It always takes months.
I do believe that this is a great idea, but I think that marketing this idea might be a little hard. Who would be your market audience and how would you market this product? I'm excited to hear more about your market strategy!
I am interested in the purpose of your shop. I think you will fix something not related to video games but I was surprised like you would fix the machine to play the video games look like XBOX 360 or PS3. Keep going and I hop you succeed.
Nice I didnt know you could repair overheating issues on game consoles. Instead of buying a whole new game console its convenient and low cost to simply repairing it. What can bring in possibly a new market is Wii users. Just some food for thought
How do you plan on fixing the overheating problem? Would you invent a new chip to insert? Or would people have to keep going to you after their game console overheats?
very interesting topic. im sure there is a large market for this and even larger opportunity to make a profit if any of the associated products turn out to be items that you guys are capable of fixing. looking forward to hear the outcome of your research
What an excellent idea for a business. From the looks of all the feedback and comments, you will have many clients. Nobody wants to buy a brand new game console. If your repairs are offered for a reasonable price, I can see that your business will flourish. Kids, teens, adults, many people own a console. Your business serves somewhat as a warranty for game console consumers because they won't have to worry about RROD or YLOD. Therefore, I also think game console purchases will increase as a result of your business.
It's a good idea to open Tian elite repair shop to fix overheating problems of popular game consoles. The repair service will provide convenience to the customers who have different models of game consoles with yellow light of death and red rings of death. To compete with after sale services from the manufacturers, your repair fee should be relatively lower in addition to your fast services. Looking forward to hearing more details on your marketing plan.

ReplyDeleteI have an Xbox that got the ring and I am still in of repair, I think this is a great idea
