  1. Nice Free service. I believe that this service would attract many customers since overheat problem happens a lot to XBOX players. My brother is also playing XBOX, and when he plays too much, i feel like it would burn out, and usually this repair cost a lot of money to players.

  2. I think this is a great idea; however, I think that by only servicing xbox and PS3 you will be cutting yourself short. Many people have Wii also which would be an additional source of income.

    1. Thanks for the suggestion about repairing Nintendo Wii too, but we focus on primarily XBOX 360 and Ps3 because they have intense graphics which causes overheating issues. The Wii is built with a simpler graphic chip that doesn't have the overheating issues and the only issues with the Wii is that the lens wear out and needs replacement. Basically speaking, we focus on issues that are commonly found in XBOX and Ps3 and that are in demand from customers

    1. Thanks Katheryn, we are trying to make the experience as convenient and painless as possible for our clients. In addition to convenience, seeing the gaming setup at the source (the client's home) will give us an opportunity to help identify and correct any possible factors that could be contributing to the malfunction or overheating of the console. For example, I have seen cases where something as simple as the location of the console didn't allow proper airflow and ventilation to the internal components of the gaming system, which caused overheating. Hopefully we can offer suggestions to the customer in order to minimize these types of problems from occurring in the future.

  4. Good idea by focusing on customer's needs by going to them. However, considering that the service is free, are you a little worried that certain customers may take it for granted?

    1. I apologize for the misinterpretation, but the mobile service repair is stated as "no extra cost" but the customer still has to pay the flat rate for the repair. For instance, a $70 RROD repair on a XBOX 360 would also include FREE mobile service for local customers.

  5. How long approximately will the service take? From my understanding I have had friends need repairs and it took a few days? If you received a large quantity for the day will you guarantee all of them to be complete same day?? Will you have enough educated employees to make this happen? Where is the profit coming if service is free? And, is it a drop off service, and they return once it is complete?

I look forward to hearing how you will make this work!

    1. Our employees are all certified technicians with at least 5+ years of experience and the repair process takes no longer than 1-2 hours. No need to wait days or weeks to get a working system. The whole repair procedure includes disassembling the console, cleaning, reflowing the cpu or gpu, cooling, and assembling the parts.

  6. This is an awesome market opportunity! A lot of game consults experience an over heating issue and believe your company would provide a great deal of service to gamers. How does the company plan to compete with other companies such as Best Buy or Fry's Electronics?

    1. We have low price suppliers that supply us with supplies that are low cost but are in high quality. We charge much cheaper prices for repairs compare to Geek squad or Fry's electronics technicians. We provide free diagnostic testing unlike companies that charge over $50 just to check what's wrong with your system.

  7. Awesome idea with the mobile service, it can be a pain to have to disassemble and reassemble gaming consoles and could potentially defer customers from coming to you. But if you go to them and offer to do it all for them, they have no reason not to.

  8. Since your repair service is mobile this could greatly cut down on your overhead. Your company could operate like how food trucks operate. Your technicians will have all the repair equipments and workbench fixed into a service vehicle. You could even have a twitter feed that lets customers know where they can find a repair truck nearest them.

  9. This is a great idea! It is very common for people to experience problems such as overheating and the RROD with their game consoles. I think a way for your company to expand would be to provide services for consoles other than the Xbox and PS3 as well.

  10. I think the idea of you coming to the customers is great. Many times, these types of repairs require customers to drop their console off at the store and pick it up at a later date. To me, that is a huge hassle and some people are very impatient! By doing the repairing in front of the customer and in the allotted time, Titan Elite Repairs is doing something unique and convenient that is sure to impress.

  11. This is a great idea to have to an on-call service available to your customers. People are even willing to pay a little more for the convenience of not having to leave their homes. Since your company does not plan on charging an extra fee for this service, is this a service offered to members only? To individuals within a certain proximity?

    1. Theres no membership fees, its simply for anyone that needs a game console repair. They just pay the flat rate for whichever issue they have and the mobile service and warranty are free.

  12. If you guys provide mobile service with no extra cost, nobody would come to your shop for repair anymore. Because it save their time and gas and it is so convenient for them.

    1. Making the mobile service free is to attract customers in the market and its for convenience purposes. We offer other option such as dropping your broken game console to our store for people who are busy going to work and aren't always home. For example, a parent that works all day wants to fix their kid's game console, they can simply drop it off at our store and pick it up at the end of the day when they come home from work. That's another example of serving two major components of our company, either request for mobile service or drop-off and pick-up service.

  13. Mobile repair services ... what a great idea.
Indeed your service would be a great marketing tool to attract new customers especially for people who hate to go repair shops and wait or pick up later type of service.

  14. This service will catch many customers' eyes. I suggest you to corporate with XBOX 360 company, cause you will help them to solve overheating problem. Furthermore, this is a free and fast service, who's gonna reject it?

  15. The services your team offer sound so good. I wonder how much is the approximate cost for fixing the white screen problem of my Xbox 360 system?

Thank you. I am looking forward to see more on the services your group will be offering.

  16. I havent ever gotten the red ring of death on my XBOX (knock on wood) but what usually causes that to happen?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Basically, when you operate your XBOX over a period of time, the solders that lies beneath the GPU becomes brittle and weaker every time it heats up and cools down as you power it off. At one point, that solder point will crack and will not make the direct contact from the gpu chip and the motherboard. There's approximately 1000 solder balls that connects the chipset to the motherboard. If one of those solder is loose or cracked then you get a red rings of death error on your console and no video output on display.

  17. I really like your in home service repair feature. It will be very benifical to your companies success. How do you plan on advertising your company. Some people would not know where to look for these services.

    1. We plan to advertise on facebook ads, youtube videos of sample repairs, craigslist, our own website link, yellowpages, local newspapers, flyers, ebayclassified.

  18. totally agree with the above comments, by providing the convenience of going to your customers is a great benefit. like me, i wouldn't mind someone to come and repair my stuff instead of me looking for the services. this saves me a lot of time of driving and dropping it off.

  19. Couple things. As an introductory, I suggest defining the acronyms YLOD and RROD then stating the acronym. A crucial part will be the warranty. On all consoles there is a seal and if it is broken, the customer has no option of ever repairing at the original manufacture.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Indeed, the "YLOD" is known as the yellow light of death and how the ps3 acquire this name is if you suffer from the overheating issue on the ps3, as you power on the ps3 you will get 1 second green light, 1 second YELLOW light, and beeping red light. As for the "RROD" red rings of death, when you power on an overheating XBOX theres 3 red rings flashing (top right, bottom right, and lower left rings). For the warranty security, we put a warranty sticker on each console we repair and if that seal is broken we don't accept the warranty.

  20. I think that the idea of home service is great! Since many people's lives can be too busy to take the xbox or playstations to a physical location, I think that this quick mobile option will be very beneficial for you guys!

  21. Will your company solely by online or will you have a store front? How will you market your company to gamers? How are you going to market this new idea to the gamin community?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. We market our idea online and at a physical store location. As mentioned above, we advertise primarily on facebook ads, youtube, and craigslist because those websites are used most frequently by anyone. People can also find us on Yelp where reviews would give people an idea what kind of service we provide.

  22. That’s an amazing promotion or campaign to introduce your services. I really like your presentation to the market. Good work!!

  23. I like the marketing idea but how do you plan on attracting people into doing business with your company? also can people ship in their devices from abroad to you to get your services as well as what separates you from just shipping the device back to manufacture warranty repairs?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. That's a great question, Edwin. While we do focus on house-calls for repairs, it would of course be a tremendous advantage to branch out and tap into markets abroad. However, we differentiate ourselves from our competition by providing in-home repairs. As you mentioned, having clients ship their defective consoles to us would be no different than shipping the devices to the manufacturer. Therefore, in order to take advantage of an expanded market, it would be necessary to establish mobile units in those specific locations, thereby expanding our companies market development while still providing the customer with this unique service.

  24. Doing a house call would be great. Some people just doesn't have the time to drop off their game console to get it fixed and while you're fixing the console at the house you can give them pointers on how to prevent it from happening again. Like where they can properly place their console to prevent overheating and things like that.

    ReplyDelete
  25. good idea. I like the way you treat customers. People don't need to drive a far distance to fix their video games console, just make a call, and everything will be finished at home.

  26. I have a question about your pricing model. Would it be a flat price rate for any repair/maintenance or would you have tiered rates for different services?

    ReplyDelete
  27. Same day service and you go to your clients! Wow, you guys really do aim to please. Customer satisfaction is so important nowadays. I'm pretty sure that your great service will result in many satisfied clients that will recommend your business to all their gamer friends. Word of mouth spreads like fire.
